Online casting service gets advisers, board members

HOLLYWOOD — Director Roland Joffe (“The Killing Fields”) and veteran Warner Bros. casting director Marion Dougherty have joined online casting service CastNet.com as board members.

Joffe and Dougherty will serve as advisers to co-chairmen Paul Kessler and Thom Mount in the company, launched in 1997 to enable casting directors, talent agents and producers to cast productions and conduct business online.

Former prexy for Universal Studios, Mount recently inked to join the online venture, alongside Kessler (Daily Variety, Sept. 22).
