Ralf Schilling has been named managing director of UCI Germany. Former topper Raymond Smith left UCI for Hoyts earlier this year.

Under Schilling’s leadership, the exhib expects to increase its annual revenues in Germany from 100 million marks ($56 million) to 330 million marks ($183 million) by 2000.


Jason Priestley, a Vancouver native, will be hosting the 27th Juno Awards celebrating the best in Canadian music.

Artists booked to perform at the March 22 Junos in Vancouver are Grammy Award winning singer songwriter Sarah McLachlan, grunge rockers Our Lady Peace, country performer Shania Twain, last year’s Juno host Jann Arden, Celtic clan Leahy and Vancouver jazz musician Diana Krall.
