TORONTO — Global Television and Insight Production Co. will develop a new coming of age series for 10- to 14-year-old boys called “Hockey Boys.”

Set in the high pressure world of minor league hockey, the characters include one American troublemaker who delights in taunting his Canuck teammates about the decline of the game. Global’s Loren Mawhinney said the producers are hopeful “Hockey Boys” will follow in the footsteps of the successful series “Ready or Not,” a Global Insight Disney co-production for girls. The 13 half-hour episodes are slated for production next year.


Diana Bolzonello has been upped to marketing director at Fox/Columbia TriStar in Switzerland, taking over the responsibilities previously handled by Jose Dubey.

Based in Geneva, Bolzonello will oversee all advertising and publicity campaigns for Fox/Columbia TriStar, the establishment of promotional partnerships and the supervision of the company’s marketing/publicity team.

Bolzonello joined Fox/Columbia TriStar in 1991 as an assistant to former marketing director Jose Dubey.

She was previously with Flammarion, a leading publishing company in Paris, where she served as the assistant to the marketing and distribution general director. Prior to that, she worked for Les Editions du Tricorne, a Geneva-based specialty publishing house.
