LONDON — The William Morris Agency’s revitalized London office has added three British film directors to its client roster — Michael Caton-Jones, Brian Gibson and Anand Tucker.
Caton-Jones and Gibson will continue to be repped in Los Angeles by the Creative Artists Agency, while Tucker will remain with International Creative Management. All three were previously repped in London by ICM.
Gibson and Caton-Jones have developed significant Hollywood careers, but are now reactivating their involvement in British movies.
Gibson is currently directing “Still Crazy,” a comedy about the reunion tour of a hoary old Brit rock band, starring Stephen Rea and Timothy Spall, with backing from Columbia Tristar Intl. and the Greenlight Fund.
Caton-Jones , whose last pic was “The Jackal,” has optioned Alan Warner’s Scottish novel “The Sopranos,” about a group of teenage choirgirls on a rampage in Edinburgh.
Tucker looks poised for a career breakthrough when his debut film “Jackie,” a biopic of cellist Jacqueline du Pre starring Emily Watson, is unveiled at the Venice Film Fest next month. Advance screenings of the pic in London have generated a big industry buzz.
Caton-Jones and Gibson will be repped by Charles Finch, Luc Roeg and Tania Cohen, while Tucker will be handled by Simone Ireland.
