Weissman, Delson are one

New firm reps Calliope Films, Miramax, others

The entertainment PR agencies of Murray Weissman & Associates and Dick Delson & Associates have joined forces to form Weissman/Delson Communications, effective this week.

Among clients being serviced through the merger are Sony Pictures’ theatrical film “Wild Things,” Miramax, Calliope Films, 20th Fox TV’s UPN series “Good News,” the People’s Choice Awards, actor Walter Matthau and director Tom Holland.

Weissman and Delson both worked at Universal Pictures from 1966-76. Weissman served as exec in charge of the motion picture press department for U, while Delson was director of publicity for U in Gotham.

Weissman has held various PR positions with TV Guide, ABC, CBS, Lorimar and Columbia Pictures. Delson has worked for CBS, Disney and Filmways.
