Exec grows into promotions veep slot

Diane Nelson has been promoted to vice president of Warner Bros. worldwide corporate promotions.

Nelson, who moved up from her previous post as director of worldwide corporate promotions, will continue to work with Robert Schneider, senior VP of the department. Her duties will include the coordination of cross-divisional marketing initiatives, including oversight of several aspects of WB’s 75th anniversary celebrations.

Prior to joining Warners in March 1997, Nelson was director of national promotions for Walt Disney Records, where she worked on the promotion and marketing of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” soundtrack and product line and the negotiation and management of national promotions with such corporate sponsors as McDonald’s, Proctor & Gamble and Mattel.
