Ted Rubin has joined Warner Bros. as director of labor relations, the studio announced Tuesday.
Rubin made the jump from Sony Pictures Entertainment, where he worked in the labor relations department. Prior to that, he was business rep at Scenic, Title and Graphic Artists, Local 816 of IATSE.
In his new post, Rubin will share the responsibility of negotiating and administering union and guild collective-bargaining agreements for the studio.
Rubin has been a member of the board of directors of the Motion Picture Industry Pension and Health Plans since 1983. He has also served as a hearing officer for the Contract Services Administration Trust Fund (CSATF) Dispute Resolution Committee and has chaired the CASTF/IATSE Advisory Committee.
Rubin holds a master’s degree from Pepperdine University and a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Hartford.
