Trimark ups Elzer

Exec named veep, worldwide marketing

Trimark Pictures has upped David Elzer to veep of worldwide marketing.

The former head of theatrical publicity, who spearheaded the campaigns for “Eve’s Bayou” and “Billy’s Hollywood Screen Kiss,” will oversee the marketing for all of Trimark’s upcoming projects, including theatrical, international and homevideo releases.

Upcoming theatrical releases include “Another Day In Paradise,” starring James Woods and Melanie Griffith, Alex De La Iglesias’ “The Day of the Beast” and “Twice Upon a Yesterday.”

Additionally, Elzer will oversee the homevideo marketing efforts on the pics “Happiness,” “Slam” and “Billy’s Hollywood Screen Kiss.”

“David has made invaluable contributions to our marketing efforts since he began as head of theatrical publicity two years ago,” said Trimark chief administrative officer and executive veep Cami Winikoff.

Prior to joining Trimark, Elzer spent three years as director of national publicity at 20th Century Fox, working on campaigns for “True Lies,” “Mrs. Doubtfire” and “Alien 3.” His homevideo experience stems from a year at Buena Vista Home Video as director of publicity and five years at RCA/Columbia Pictures Home Video as marketing associate.
