Trimark Pictures has upped Peter Block to senior vice president, acquisitions and business affairs.
In his enhanced role, Block will become more involved in the company’s film acquisitions, working closely with Bobby Rock, Trimark’s vice president, acquisitions.
Block will report to Cami Winikoff, chief administrative officer and executive vice president; and chairman and chief executive officer Mark Amin.
Block and Rock will now head Trimark’s acquisitions as a team. In the past year, their picks have included “Eve’s Bayou,” “Slam,” “Perdita Durango,” “Chinese Box,” “Kama Sutra” and “Dead Man’s Curve.”
Block has worked at Trimark since 1993. Prior to his promotion, he headed the indie’s business affairs and legal department.
Before joining the company, Block worked as an entertainment lawyer.
