Tibbets gets VP stripes

Exec to lead Papazian-Hirsch into new projects

Daniel Tibbets has been named to the newly created position of VP of development at Papazian-Hirsch Entertainment.

Tibbets’ appointment is the first step of Papazian-Hirsch’s move into the development and production of new projects. He will be responsible for developing film, TV and homevideo projects, as well as forming alliances with production and distribution companies.

The company already has a close relationship with Rysher Entertainment, with whom they co-executive produce “Nash Bridges.”

Tibbets will work out of the production company’s recently acquired Ray-Art studios, which is where UPN’s “Love Boat: The Next Wave” shoots.

Before coming to Papazian-Hirsch, Tibbets was manager of TV programming and development at Eyemark Entertainment, where, among other projects, he worked on “Jackie Collins’ Hollywood.” He has also been a writer and producer on a number of documentaries, sports and educational films and news magazine programs.
