Television producer James Yoshimura, who co-executive produces NBC’s “Homicide: Life on the Stree,” has signed with Creative Artists Agency. Yoshimura recently received an Emmy nomination for writing the “Homicide” episode titled “The Subway.”

Brian Sher has joined the Broder, Kurland, Webb, Uffner Agency as an agent in its motion picture literary department.
Sher had been an agent trainee at the William Morris Agency, where he started in the percentery’s mailroom and later worked on the desks of Spencer Baumgarten, Mike Simpson and most recently, Ramses IsHak.
Joining him at BKWU will be screenwriter Marc Klein, whose spec “Love, Jenny” is set up at Will Smith’s Overbrook En-tertainment and Universal.

Actor Daniel Benzali, whose roles include the ABC series “Murder One” and the features “The End of Violence” and “Murder at 1600,” has signed with Writers & Artists Agency, where he will be repped by Norman Aladjem and Jason Gutman.

Actor Sean W. Scott, who co-stars in Universal’s “East Great Falls High,” has signed with the Gersh Agency where he will be repped by Chuck James.
Scott is lensing DreamWorks’ “American Beauty,” starring Kevin Spacey and Annette Benning under Sam Mendes’ helm. He continues to be managed by Gossett Entertainment Management.

Writer Carl Dupre, who penned the upcoming “Detroit Rock City,” has signed with Sanford-Gross & Associates, where he will be repped by Rogers Hartmann.
Dupre also co-wrote Dimension Films’ “Prophecy 3”; and he wrote the screenplay “Roadkill,” which is set up at Overseas Film Group.
