29-year vet leaves reins to Koets

TCI Communications exec VP and controller Gary Bracken will retire at the end of July, the company announced Monday.

Bracken, who will turn 59 next month, joined the company in 1969, oversaw its initial public offering in 1970 and, according to TCI president Leo J. Hindery Jr., “helped build a strong future for TCI.”

After Bracken’s departure, the controller functions will be assumed by TCI exec VP of finance Ann Koets.
