NEW YORK — CBS Corp. has promoted Farid Suleman to senior VP of finance.
Suleman, who followed CBS president and COO Mel Karmazin to the Eye from Infinity Broadcasting, will retain his present titles of senior VP and CFO of the CBS Station Group, where he maintains financial responsibility for CBS-owned radio and TV stations.
Suleman’s new responsibilities include overseeing the operations of the investor relations and the CBS treasury department.
Prior to his 11 years at Infinity, where he served as CFO and VP of Finance, Suleman worked with major media clients as a principal in the accounting firm Ernst & Young.
He is also EVP and CFO of Westwood One, the major radio programmer in which CBS has a 25% stake.
