Spelling Television has upped Steve Tann to senior veepee of current series programming and creative affairs.

Tann oversees production of Spelling’s formidable roster of drama series. The list includes the new CBS drama “Buddy Faro” and the WB Network entries “Charmed” and “Rescue 77,” along with returning veterans “Melrose Place” and “Beverly Hills, 90210.”

Tann, formerly veep of current programming, reports to Spelling TV prexy Jonathan Levin. Prior to joining Spelling, Tann worked as a director of development for Columbia TriStar TV and for Triad Artists Agency.

“We’re pleased to have Steve on our team during our busiest season ever,” said Levin in announcing the promotion.
