Solomon now at Roman

Exec toplining feature arm

Mitchell Solomon has been hired as prexy of Film Roman’s new feature film division.

“There Goes the Neighborhood,” a co-production between Film Roman, Universal and Punch/MBE, will be the first pic Solomon will oversee. Dustin Hoffman is set to star in the live-action and animation feature comedy. Dana Olsen (“George of the Jungle”) is currently writing the script.

Reporting to exec VP Jon Vein, Solomon joins Film Roman from Filmcolony, where he had been senior veep of production since 1997.

Prior to Filmcolony, Solomon was vice prexy of development with Riche/Ludwig Prods., which developed 22 projects, including DreamWorks’ “Mousehunt” and MGM’s upcoming “Mod Squad.”
