Sano spins up at NL music

Liaison named sr. veepee

New Line Music has upped Dana Sano to senior vice president of music, West Coast.

New Line Music prexy Toby Emmerich made the announcement.

Sano, who joined NL in 1994, acts as a liaison between filmmakers and the recording industry on NL pics. She secures rights to music and songs, and also recommends choices to filmmakers.

She has worked on “Boogie Nights,” “Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery,” “Seven” and “Set It Off,” among other NL pics.

She currently is overseeing “Pleasantville,” ‘Town and Country,” and “The Corrupter” for the company.

She previously was music supervisor for Sharon Boyle & Associates.
