Doug Wick’s Sony-based Red Wagon Prods. has upped Melissa Reid to VP of development.
Reid will continue to work on existing Red Wagon projects as well as soliciting scripts, pitches, books and magazine articles for potential development as features. She reports to Wick and exec VP of production Don Laventhall.
Reid joined Red Wagon in April 1997 as a creative exec and was later promoted to director of development.
“Melissa’s hard work and high standards have been invaluable to us and all our creative partners,” Wick said.
Red Wagon has been hot lately, setting up “Memoirs of a Geisha” with Steven Spielberg directing and “Gladiator” with Ridley Scott at the helm.
