Exec named chief operating officer at Cablevision programming arm
NEW YORK — Rainbow Media Holdings, the programming division of Cablevision Systems Corp., the sixth largest cable operator in the U.S., has elevated Hank Ratner to chief operating officer.
Ratner, an attorney, has moved up the ranks of the company, starting as VP of business affairs 11 years ago and most recently serving as executive VP. He reports to Josh Sapan, president and CEO of Rainbow, which is 75% owned by Cablevision and 25% by NBC.
Rainbow manages American Movie Classics, Bravo and other cable networks and owns a majority stake in Madison Square Garden, the Knicks and Rangers professional sports teams and Radio City Entertainment.
