Marketing exec ankles Cecchi Gori, follows Roviglioni
ROME — Cecchi Gori Group marketing exec Massimo Proietti has been hired by Polygram Filmed Entertainment as director of marketing for its new Italian distribution arm, which is preparing its first slate of films for the 1998-99 season that kicks off in the fall.
Proietti, who has been with Cecchi Gori three years, most recently as marketing director of the film distribution unit, is Polygram’s second key Italian appointment to come from CGG. Last month, Polygram tapped Filippo Roviglioni, formerly general manager of distribution for CGG, to head the new Italian division.
Roviglioni said the company will release 13-15 titles per year, and will also be looking to become involved in local film production.
