New Regency hikes 3 exex

Weiner, Santor and Matalon move up

New Regency Prods. has boosted three members of its senior management cadre — William S. Weiner, Louis Santor and Roy Matalon — in areas of business affairs, legal and distribution.

Weiner, who joined New Regency in 1993 as VP of legal affairs and later rose to senior VP of business and legal affairs, assumes the new post of general counsel and executive vice president for business affairs. Previous positions include senior VP of business and legal affairs at 21st Century Film Corp. and counsel for Cannon/Pathe.

In his new position, Santor will oversee all financial aspects of New Regency’s corporate operations and its interests in film, television and music. He’ll handle corporate acquisitions and investments, shareholder equity matters and financial, tax and strategic planning, as well all banking relationships.

Santor joined New Regency in 1992 as manager of finance, and rose to VP of finance operations 1995. He previously worked as a financial auditor and consultant for Coopers & Lybrand. Matalon will now have responsibility for overseeing the expanding distribution and marketing strategy for all New Regency product. He signed on at New Regency in 1997 as vice president of distribution. Prior to his arrival at the company, Matalon worked for Monarchy Enterprises, the Swiss-based New Regency parent company, where he handled foreign television sales. In 1995, he was named Benelux supervisor at Columbia-TriStar.
