Former Starbucks and Nike marketing exec Jerome Conlon has been named senior veepee of marketing and research for NBC West Coast.
In the newly created post, Conlon will be responsible for developing “marketing and branding initiatives” for NBC Entertainment and its NBC Studios production arm. Conlon reports to NBC West Coast prexy Don Ohlmeyer.
“Jerome has a great reputation for using market and customer research to drive business development,” said Ohlmeyer in announcing the appointment. “While at Nike and Starbucks, he played a vital role in building two of the nation’s most prominent brands.”
Conlon spent the past two years with Starbucks Coffee Co. as veepee of brand planning, category development and consumer insights. Before joining the specialty coffee retailer, he served nearly 14 years with athletic shoe giant Nike.
