Litner sports sr. VP stripes at Alphabet

Exec to o'see all ABC sports programming

NEW YORK — Jon Litner has been promoted to senior VP of programming for ABC Sports. He was formerly VP of programming for the Alphabet network’s sports division.

In his new position, Litner will oversee the acquisition and scheduling of all ABC Sports programming. He will report to Brian McAndrews, executive VP and general manager, ABC Sports.

Litner was named VP of programming in 1995, and was responsible for the acquisition and scheduling of college football, college basketball and boxing. He also worked extensively on strategic planning and new program development.

Before joining ABC, Litner was VP of business affairs for the Baseball Network. He was general attorney for ABC Sports from 1991-94.
