Exec named senior veep, communications

NEW YORK — Universal Studios’ parent Seagram Co. is no longer a shareholder in Time Warner, but it has just hired TW’s former top corporate communications exec, Tod Hullin.

Seagram announced Monday the appointment of Hullin to the senior VP slot in charge of corporate communications, reporting to Seagram CFO Robert Matschullat. Hullin will take over from Ray Boyce, who remains VP for corporate communications until mid-1999.

Hullin left Time Warner in February 1997 after six years overseeing its communications department.
