The Hollywood Radio and Television Society has tapped Nancy Josephson as its new prexy, the first time a woman has held the top position.
Josephson, executive VP and head of worldwide television at ICM, will begin her one-year term Tuesday during a luncheon that will feature a panel of network entertainment presidents. Bill Carter, TV columnist for the New York Times, will moderate.
In her new position, Josephson succeeds Sam Haskell, executive veep and West Coast head of TV at William Morris Agency.
HRTS’ executive director is Gene Herd.
“I’m both delighted and honored to be elected to this position,” Josephson said in a statement.
