Frosh skeins reign, lifting CBS to demo win

The Screen Actors Guild has named Jayne Wallace director of public relations for the union’s New York branch.

Wallace, most recently media relations director for USA Network, will be responsible for “heightening the guild’s presence” in the New York area, according to a statement issued Thursday by SAG’s New York exec director John Sucke and national communications director Katherine Moore.

“All of the issues we are addressing on behalf of performers — ranging from contract enforcement to our aggressive legislative agenda — require a coordinated national strategy,” Moore said. She added that Wallace’s “exceptional background and experience” will focus attention on the “perspective of our New York membership and our New York production community.”

Wallace, a Philadelphia native, previously worked for American Movie Classics, the Lippin Group, Columbia Pictures, Paramount Domestic Television and Ruder Finn.
