TORONTO — Film Finders has inked a deal to become an official partner with London Premiere Screenings, said Film Finders executive VP Peter Belsito.
Hollywood-based Film Finders is a subscription service for potential film buyers, co-producers and festival organizers that tracks about 12,500 titles in the various stages of production worldwide.
London Screenings, which started as an informal meeting ground for British sales companies and buyers on their way to MIFED, has been taking on a more organized shape in the past year.
“Our presence has to do with providing them with information,” Belsito said.
Formed in 1989, Film Finders has in recent years been working more closely with producers at festivals and for the past several years has had a booth at Cannes market and Sundance.
This year is its first with a booth at the Toronto Intl. Film Festival, which runs through Saturday.
The company is also working on opening a British office.
“We haven’t come to any conclusions yet,” said Film Finders president Sydney Levine. “We need to find the right people.”
