Frank Guttler, marketing coordinator for Video Symphony EnterTraining, has ankled the Burbank training facility for the American Film Institute to serve as coordinator of the California Digital Arts Workshop, a project funded by the California Arts Council and Intel Corp.

CBS Television has named Jay Lutsky director, movies and miniseries, on-air promotion. Reporting to Jack Parmeter, VP of on-air promotion, Lutsky will be responsible for the on-air campaigns on behalf of the “CBS Sunday Movie” franchise as well as CBS’ Tuesday night movies. Lutsky joins CBS from the Disney Channel, where he was a senior writer-producer.

Lynn Heymont has been tapped West Coast veepee of human resources for CBS. Heymont comes to CBS after serving stints as an HR exec for Sony Pictures Entertainment and Playboy Enterprises.

Marta Tracy has been named head of programming for E! Entertainment Television’s new Style channel, which is due to launch Oct. 1. One of Tracy’s primary responsibilities will be to develop original programming for the channel. Formerly E! veep of programming and development, Tracy will report to Fran Shea, E! senior veep of programming.

Jerome G. Kamer has been named veepee of planning and investor relations for Fox Family Worldwide. Kamer will oversee financial planning, budgeting and investor relations, supervising each division’s budget and business performance. Also, Jamie Chasalow has been named director of primary research, and Heather Somaini has been named director of talent relations for the company. n

Joan Carry-Swift has been named veepee of corporate communications for USA Networks. Formerly veepee of entertainment media relations, Carry-Swift will report to Stephen Brenner, president of operations, and Stephen Chao, president of programming and marketing. She will be responsible for overseeing corporate communications and entertainment media relations for both USA Network and the Sci-Fi Channel.

Mark S. Rafalowski has been named senior VP of business development for Dick Clark Prods. Formerly of Western International Syndication and Ascot Syndication Group, Rafalowski also founded Tradewinds Television, a production and distribution company, where he once served as president and CEO.

Cord Douglas has been upped to veepee of sales and acquisitions at Keller Entertainment Group. Douglas, who formerly served as director of sales and acquisitions, will oversee Keller’s distribution department, as well as acquire properties and completed product to expand the company’s distribution slate.

Motion picture ad agency Creative Domain has upped writer-producer Stephen Roberts to the post of VP, writer-producer and has hired Douglas Smith as a writer-producer. Roberts has been working as a writer-producer for Creative Domain since 1996, where he has written and produced teasers, trailers and TV commercials promoting numerous pics. Smith was a senior writer-producer with Seiniger Advertising since 1995, where he wrote and produced numerous promotions for pics.
