Warner Bros.’ Telepictures Prods. has tapped Alphabet web PR veteran Anne Riccitelli to spearhead publicity operations for the production company’s newly opened Gotham office.

As director of East Coast PR, Riccitelli will focus her efforts on Telepictures’ “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” and future New York-based productions, which may soon include a talkshow with actress-singer Queen Latifah who is in talks with Telepictures. Riccitelli has spent the past 24 years with ABC, most recently serving as executive director of media relations.

Mark Litvack has been promoted to director of legal affairs, worldwide anti-piracy at the Motion Picture Assn. and the Motion Picture Assn. of America. The MPA is the international arm of the MPAA. Also promoted at the MPAA was Ken Jacobson to MPAA vice president and director U.S. anti-piracy.

Doug Gleason has been promoted to senior VP worldwide sales and marketing for MGM Consumer Products where he will be responsible for the daily operations of the division including development of worldwide sales and marketing activity, supervision of the development of licensing strategies, development of business in new markets and coordination of efforts within the company’s film, television and home video groups. Gleason continues to report to Linda Berman, exec veepee and general manager of MGM consumer products. Prior to MGM, Gleason was VP of publicity and promotions at 20th Century Fox Intl.

King World Productions has upped Sylvester “Vec” Russo to VP and controller. He previously served as controller.

Russo will continue to oversee corporate accounting, budgeting and financial reporting. Russo joined King World in 1990 as accounting supervisor and later served as manager of budgeting and financial reporting. Prior to joining King World, Russo was an accounting supervisor at Sony Music Entertainment and an auditor at Arthur Andersen.

NBC Cable Networks has tapped Sheryl Feldinger as director of ad sales research. The N.Y.-based Feldinger will support the advertising sales teams for both NBC cable networks — CNBC and MSNBC. She reports to Barry Stoddard, VP of research, CNBC. Prior to joining CNBC, Feldinger served as a project director for Strategy Research Corp. in Miami, where she designed and produced customized market research, specializing in U.S. Hispanic and Latin American markets. From 1992 to ’94, Feldinger was a manager of special analysis with Nielsen Media Research.

Torrie Dorrell has joined Polygram Filmed Entertainment as veep of licensing. Dorrell will oversee all North American merchandising efforts for Polygram’s film, TV and video titles. Dorrell comes to PFE after working as VP of the Kids’ WB/Kid Rhino music imprint.

Rich Sutton has been promoted to veepee of sales and client marketing for Warner Bros. Online. Sutton, formerly director of ad sales for WB Online, will be responsible for marketing WB Online to national advertisers and top ad agencies.

Digital Media Co. has named Mark F. Miller exec VP and managing director. In his new role, Miller will oversee the company’s continued expansion of post-production services and high-end special effects for TV series, commercials, and feature films. Miller was previously president of Unitel Hollywood.

Discovery Networks Intl. has upped Jim Boyle to senior veepee of marketing and communications, and Chris Haws to senior veepee and executive producer of international production. Boyle will oversee all international efforts in the area of branding, print marketing, communications and media relations. Haws will be responsible for stimulating, coordinating, and enhancing the original production efforts for all of the company’s international networks.

New Line Television has promoted David Imhoff from senior VP to executive VP of worldwide licensing and merchandising. Imhoff will continue to run New Line’s licensing and merchandising for the film and television group on an international basis. Before beginning his eight year stint at New Line, Imhoff was an account executive for International Management Group.

Hubert Smith Jr. has been named veepee of business and legal affairs for Fox Family Worldwide. In the newly created position, Smith will be responsible for all business and legal affairs relating to all primetime development and programming at the Fox Family Channel. Prior to joining the company, Smith was director and counsel of business and legal affairs at Twentieth Television, a unit of Fox TV.

Premiere Radio Networks, distribber of syndie radio powerhouses Rush Limbaugh and Dr. Laura Schlessinger, has upped Kraig T. Kitchin to the new post of chief operating officer. Kitchin will oversee all aspects of the Sherman Oaks-based company’s operations, in addition to spearheading sales efforts for the 60-odd radio programs syndicated nationally by Premiere. Kitchin, formerly exec VP, has been a senior exec with Premiere since its inception in 1987.

Amy Rosenblum has been tapped as co-executive producer of “The New Maury Povich Show,” the veteran yakker’s revamped talkshow coming this fall from Studios USA Television Distribution. Rosenblum has spent the past decade as a talkshow producer, most recently serving as co-exec producer of Studios USA’s “Sally Jessy Raphael.” She worked for CBS News for several years before moving into the talkshow field in 1988 as senior producer of “The Joan Rivers Show.”

Peter van Roden has been upped from veepee of production to senior veepee of production and themed entertainment for the Jim Henson Co. Van Roden oversees all of Henson’s production out of New York, including the Muppet Workshop. With the promotion, van Roden will also spearhead development of Henson-branded entertainment for theme parks and other live venues. Before joining Henson in 1993, van Roden worked as director of network and syndicated specials for Walt Disney TV.

New Line Home Video has named Marshall Carr VP of operations. In his new position, Carr will be responsible for all operational areas of New Line Home Video. He most recently served as senior manager of new release operations at Buena Vista Home Entertainment. Additional promotions at New Line include Michael Mulvihill to director of operations, Lynne Braggs to manager of operations, and Joe Yamamoto to operations coordinator.

The Motion Picture Assn. of America has upped Phuong Huynh to director of public affairs. Before Huynh joined the MPAA in 1992, she worked in the Washington office of Turner Broadcasting System. She takes over from Rich Taylor who now heads MPAA’s public affairs operations.

Adult trade group publisher Paul Fedorko is stepping down at William Morrow & Co., and Michael Murphy, veepee and sales director since 1995, has been named his successor. Prior to joining Morrow, Murphy held posts at Putnam and Ballantine. Also, Jacqueline Deval has been upped to veepee and publisher of Hearst Books, owner of William Morrow since 1981.
