Steve Leavitt has been tapped VP of national promotion for Mammoth Records. Coming to Mammoth after stints at A&M Records, RCA Records and DGC/Geffen, Leavitt will promote Mammoth artists in all radio formats and help direct the new regional promo staff.

Sandra Gong has been named VP of finance for Fox Broadcasting Co. Gong comes to Fox after serving as VP and controller of Orion Pictures since 1994.

Showtime Networks has added Joey Plager as VP of program enterprises and distribution. Focusing on securing co-financing partners among domestic broadcast and cable nets for movies and series production, Plager also will oversee licensing of completed programs in the domestic market, including syndica-tion, basic cable and non-theatrical sales. He joins after a stint at Zaloom-Mayfield Prods.

The Jim Henson Co. has pushed Oscar A. Aguilar to VP of finance. Moving from his corporate controller slot, Aguilar will have oversight of financial reporting, accounting, finance, tax and information systems for the company worldwide. He joined Henson in 1990.

Mimi Wunderlich has been bumped to executive director of marketing at Republic Entertainment. Formerly director of sales promotions and PR, Wunderlich manages the marketing staff and oversees the development of creative marketing campaigns for the company’s 475-title vid library.

Christine Merrifield has been named an account executive for the media sales arm of Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. Merrifield joins WBDTD from TN Media, where she served as group supervisor since 1995.

New Wave Entertainment has named Nina Saxon VP and creative director at New Wave Design. Leading the company’s efforts in graphics and title design, Saxon will divide her time between New Wave’s Burbank headquarters and her office in Santa Monica.

Kevin Gore has been tapped senior VP and general manager of Polygram Classics & Jazz. Handling U.S. marketing, sales, promotion and publicity efforts at the label, Gore joins Polygram from Sony Music, where he was a VP with the company’s Columbia arm.

Edmonds Entertainment Group has brought Debra Baum on board as executive VP and general manager. Responsible for interfacing operations at the company’s various business interests, Baum previously ran her own management company.

Lisa Kaye has been named senior VP of human resources at E! Entertainment Television. She’ll handle all HR functions for the cabler, including recruitment and staffing, employee training and relations, and benefits and compensation. Kaye moves up from her VP slot.

Myers Media has appointed Susan Burkat senior VP, responsible for campaigns on behalf of the company’s music, entertainment and corporate clients. Burkat joins Myers after running her own PR outfit.

Kenneth Abrams has joined Marvel Entertainment Group as VP of consumer products. He’ll concentrate on domestic licensing of the company’s TV and film properties, which include Spider-Man and the X-Men. Abrams had been with Viacom Consumer Products.
