Paramount Network TV has inked a two-year overall deal with producer and former studio chief Lee Rich.

Rich, who headed both MGM/UA and Lorimar Prods. as CEO, will develop TV series, telefilms and miniseries at Par.

Now an award-winning producer, Rich most recently formed Eagle Point Prods. with Gary Foster (“Sleepless in Seattle”) in 1993. The duo is producing the upcoming pics “Desperate Measures” and “Gloria.”

Under his own Lee Rich Prods. banner, he produced “Hard to Kill” with Steven Seagal, “Passenger 57” with Wesley Snipes and “Just Cause” with Sean Connery.

As an executive producer in TV, Rich helped create the miniseries format with “The Blue Knight” and the modern primetime soap opera with “Dallas” and “Knots Landing.”

Rich co-founded Lorimar in 1969 and served as president and CEO until 1986.
