Will focus on successful case histories
In response to the rising importance of entertainment marketing on the World Wide Web, Daily Variety will present its first annual Interactive Marketing Summit on June 3-5, featuring panelists from the film, television, music and video industries.
This three-day event, to be held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Newport Beach, will focus on the latest interactive entertainment marketing solutions and industry strategies utilizing the World Wide Web. In full-day sessions, prominent cyberspace marketing analysts will provide business tools for increasing revenues and enhancing brand awareness for entertainment companies.
Produced by Interactive Marketing Inc., the creators of Camp Internet, the event “will serve as a step-by-step road map for Web entertainment marketing,” IMI chairman Andy Batkin said. “And it will put entertainment marketeers together with major brand marketeers to forge symbiotic relationships.”
“Entertainment companies have led the charge on to the Web,” said Charlie Koones, associate publisher and U.S. publishing director of Variety. “Entertainment marketeers are increasingly developing interactive promo-tions with positive results. (The summit) will explore case histories of successful marketing programs.”
