Clinton taps USA’s Koplovitz

Outgoing CEO named chair of NWBC

NEW YORK — President Clinton has appointed Kay Koplovitz, the outgoing chairman and CEO of USA Networks, to the post of chairwoman of the National Women’s Business Council for a four-year term.

The council tries to shine a public relations spotlight on issues of interest to women.

Koplovitz, who’s staying on at USA until the end of June, also serves as chairwoman of the Intl. Council of the National Academy of TV Arts & Sciences and is a member of the board of Nabisco Holdings Corp., Liz Claiborne Inc. and General Re. Corp.
