Bob Sherry dies at 50

SPE director of TV production finance

Bob Sherry, director of TV production finance for Sony Pictures Entertainment, died Jan. 25 of cancer at Sherman Oaks Hospital in Sherman Oaks. He was 50.

Sherry, a 22-year employee of Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Entertainment, began his career in 1976 in Columbia’s finance department.

Born on July 30, 1947, in Easton, Penn., Sherry was a graduate of Rider U. in Trenton, N.J., and Whittier College School of Law in Los Angeles.

Sherry is survived by his parents, Robert and Mary Sherry.
