Blair to WB Int’l TV, Canada

He's new general manager of operations

Warner Bros. Intl. Television Distribution (WBITD) has named Robert Blair general manager of Canadian operations.

Based in Toronto, Blair will be responsible for the licensing of Warner Bros.’ TV and feature film product to broadcast, pay, satellite and cable television in English and French Canada. He replaces Kevin Byles, who was promoted to senior VP at WBITD’s Burbank office, and to whom Blair reports.

Blair joins WBITD from Polygram Filmed Entertainment, where, for the past three years, he served as director of television. He was responsible for the sales, marketing and administration of all Polygram and ITC properties to Canadian TV.

Prior to that, he held numerous positions with Canadian companies in the domestic and international distribution and production business. Blair began his career in the consumer products industry at Polaroid Canada.
