HOLLYWOOD — Members of the Broadcast Designers Assn. have voted overwhelmingly to approve its board’s decision to make PROMAX its corporate parent.
Under the terms of the agreement, which was approved by the BDA board of directors, PROMAX will assume responsibility for overall administration, member services, sponsorship growth, finance and legal activities relating to BDA. BDA would remain dedicated to design activities, have a separate membership class and its own board of governors; three BDA seats would be added to the PROMAX board of directors; the annual conference would continue to be known as PROMAX & BDA; and BDA memberships, conferences, awards activities, fax, directory, awards annual and website would continue, as well.
The annual PROMAX & BDA Conference & Exposition is scheduled to take place in Toronto in the South Hall of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, June 17-20.
