Twentieth Century Fox has upped Ted Gagliano to executive VP of feature post-production, and Fred Chandler to senior veep of feature post-production, Tom Sherak, chairman of 20th Domestic Film Group and senior executive VP of Fox Filmed Entertainment, announced Wednesday.
In his new post, Gagliano, who was upped from senior VP of post-production, will oversee post-production for all films coming out of Fox’s three live-action film divisions — 20th Century Fox, Fox 2000 and Fox Searchlight. Chandler, upped from VP, also will supervise the completion of all films from the three divisions and will report to Gagliano.
“It is very rare to have two of the most talented and creative executives in their field at the same studio,” said Sherak, whose duties include oversight of the studio’s post-production activities. “Both Ted and Fred’s relationships have made the post-production department at Fox the best in the business and we are pleased to recognize their enormous contributions to the company.”
Gagaliano joined Fox in November 1991 as VP of post-production and was promoted to senior VP within a year. During his tenure he has overseen the post process on numerous films, including the Oscar-winning “Titanic,” and the upcoming pics “Dr. Dolittle” and “X-Files.” He also supervised post for “Speed” and oversaw the restoration and enhancement of “Star Wars Special Edition,” coordinating digital work between ILM, Lucasfilm and an L.A. archival team for its 1997 release.
Chandler came to Fox from Paramount Pictures in 1994 as veepee of feature post-production. Since then he has been involved in completing such films as “William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet,” “Bulworth” and the upcoming “Everafter: A Cinderella Story.”
