VH1 in 3-year run on RuPaul drag strip

Drag queen RuPaul has reupped to host his “The RuPaul Show” for Viacom cabler VH1, inking a three-year deal to remain fronting the celebrity interview show that previously ran only Saturday nights, but will now be stripped Monday through Saturday at 11 p.m.

When the show begins airing new episodes on June 21, the 6-foot-7 RuPaul will be joined by radio deejay Michelle Visage, who will share comedic vignettes about her ventures around New York City.

Guests this season are slated to include Isabella Rossellini, Yasmine Bleeth, Susan Lucci, Diahann Carroll and Bernadette Peters, with musical performances from the Brand New Heavies, Chaka Khan, Jon Secada, Robert Palmer and Pat Benatar.

Show premiered in October 1996.
