Shannon Tweed has landed roles in a WB network series as well as a telepic that’s being looked at as a possible cable series.
WB sitcom “The Tom Show” finds Tweed in a recurring role as Tom Arnold’s ex-wife. On cable, Tweed has been cast as a Navy SEAL in the TNT vidpic “Shadow Warriors,” starring Carl Weathers and wrestler Hulk Hogan.
According to a source, TNT would like to pair a weekly version of “Warriors” on Friday nights with a wrestling show, to give it a regular one-two punch featuring Hogan.
Though the two-hour “Warriors,” to air in November, has been rumored as a possible pilot, a TNT spokeswoman said no decision has yet been reached on when (or if) it will go to series.
Tweed, the 1982 Playboy Playmate of the Year, turned actress around that time and has starred in a slew of features. On TV, she has previously done guest stints on “Wings,” “Frasier” and “Married … With Children.”
Deals were set by Michael Wallach Management and Tweed’s manager, Wallach.
