Summers to host L.A. Emmy Awards

Marc Summers, best known for hosting stints on the Nickelodeon game shows “Double Dare” and “What Would You Do?” is set to host the 49th annual Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards Saturday evening at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.

The awards, presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, will include a special tribute to longtime KTLA reporter Stan Chambers, who is celebrating his 50th year in TV news.

Presenters will include comedian Paula Poundstone, Audrey and Judy Landers, Olympic gold medalist Florence Griffith-Joyner, former Los Angeles Dodgers pitching great Don Newcombe and veteran newsman George Putnam.
