Peter Scolari has signed to star as inventor-father Wayne Szalinskiin Buena Vista TV’s “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: The Series,” a primetime hour that debuts this fall.
Show began production Tuesday in Calgary, Alberta, on a 22-episode order. It has been cleared in 47 of the top 50 markets, covering 90% of the country, including WWOR in New York and KCOP in Los Angeles. Exec producer is John Landis.
Scolari was in CBS’ “Newhart” from 1984-90 and starred with Tom Hanks on ABC’s “Bosom Buddies” from 1980-84.
