O’Donnell inks Par TV deal

Paramount Network TV has signed a two-year overall deal worth an estimated $2 million to $3 million with Tim O’Donnell, executive producer of the UPN sitcom “Clueless.”

O’Donnell will remain with “Clueless” and develop new comedies for the studio. Before joining “Clueless,” O’Donnell was executive producer of “Dave’s World” on CBS, and he executive produced NBC’s “The Mommies.”

For five years he was a writer and producer on ABC’s “Growing Pains.” He was also creator of “Home Free” for ABC, and he was executive producer of CBS’ “Free Spirit.” His other writing credits include “Just the Ten of Us,” “Off the Rack” and “Gloria.”

O’Donnell also spent 15 years in broadcast journalism before entering the entertainment business. He was a reporter/producer for CBS radio and TV stations in Los Angeles and Chicago.

His deal was brokered by Robb Rothman at the Rothman Agency.
