MIAMI — Miami-based Nickelodeon Latin America, the 24-hour Spanish-lingo kids’ cable net launched last December, has named Stephen Grieder vice president and creative director.
Grieder comes from Hong Kong-based Star TV, with whom he spent four years, most recently as an executive producer. Previously, Grieder was creative director/director of on-air promotions at MTV Asia and senior producer at Nickelodeon/Nick at Nite.
At Nickelodeon Latin America, Grieder will manage on-air promotions, programming and production efforts, in-cluding the development of original productions and co-productions. He will also work closely with the net’s marketing team, and develop and manage its on-air budgets.
Also newly appointed to the net is Tony Fadel, who has been named program director. Fadel is founder and presi-dent of TV Planet, a Miami-based independent production company that specializes in kid-oriented product. Previ-ously, he was a freelance programmer in Paris and Tokyo.
