NBC keeps ‘Working’

Fred Savage will be gainfully employed for at least the rest of the TV season.

NBC has given a full-season pickup to Savage’s freshman sitcom “Working,” produced by NBC Studios. Since its Oct. 8 premiere, “Working” has averaged an 8.3 household rating and 13 share and a 5.5 in the key demographic of adults 18-49 in its Wednesday 9:30 p.m. timeslot.

Savage, who came of age in the ABC sitcom “The Wonder Years,” stars as a fresh-out-of-college idealist trying to find his way through a low-level job at a faceless corporate behemoth.
