In a move to consolidate domestic and international distribution, sales and marketing operations under one roof and be closer to NBC Studios’ West Coast facilities, NBC Enterprises is moving its base of operations from New York to the company’s Burbank headquarters, effective July 4.
Sergio Getzel, VP of international sales and development, will assume full responsibilities for all international sales for the network unit. Under Getzel’s watch, NBC Enterprises has established a diverse catalog of NBC Studios comedy and drama series, movies and miniseries, which are syndicated throughout the world.
Getzel joined NBC in 1983 and held various positions until being promoted to director of international sales and homevideo operations in 1988.
Rhonda Troutman has been promoted from director of business affairs to VP of NBC Enterprises in the restructure. She will have business oversight of domestic and foreign syndication, homevideo and merchandising. Prior to joining NBC, Troutman was head of business and legal affairs for Time Warner Sports Merchandising.
Both Getzel and Troutman will be based in Burbank and will report to John Agoglia, president of NBC Enterprises.
