Lineup shifts at Alphabet

ABC late Friday shuffled its Monday, Thursday and Saturday lineups, most notably shifting David E. Kelley’s “The Practice” from Saturday to Monday night at 10 p.m. after “Monday Night Football” ends Jan 5.

The Alphabet web is making a host of other changes too, including the launch of a new Warner Bros. TV drama “Prey” Thursdays at 8 p.m., followed by a new movie from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. starting Jan. 15.

The new Thursday schedule supplants the low-rated current lineup of “Nothing Sacred,” “Cracker” and the newsmag “20/20,” which actually defeated “ER” for the first time ever last week. Both “Nothing Sacred” and “Cracker” are now moving to Saturday night, starting Jan. 17.

“Nothing Sacred” will air Saturday at 8 p.m., followed by “Cracker” at 9 p.m. and a new one-hour news program at 10 p.m. Two of ABC’s Saturday dramas, “Total Security” and Brillstein-Grey’s “C16,” have now been officially canceled.

On Monday nights, starting Jan. 5, ABC will launch “America’s Funniest Home Videos” at 8 p.m., followed by “20/20,” which will air at 9 p.m., and “The Practice” at 10 p.m.
