“The Home Team With Terry Bradshaw” has been benched.
The struggling syndie daytime strip, produced by Comcast’s C3 and distributed by Twentieth TV, has gone on a production hiatus to give the partners time to evaluate the show’s performance during the November sweep.
“Home Team,” hosted by NFL hall-of-famer Bradshaw, has enough original episodes in the can to run through the end of the month. No matter what the November book turns up, “Home Team” will remain on the air through the end of the year, Twentieth officials say.
Since its Sept. 8 premiere, the show has averaged a mere 0.8 national Nielsen household rating, airing predominantly in daytime slots on Fox affils. “Home Team” is the second syndie freshman to fumble so far this season. All American TV’s talker “Arthel & Fred” went on early production hiatus last month, and its fate also will be decided by the outcome of the November sweep.
