Bob Holmes has signed an exclusive two-year production deal to remain with NBC as executive in charge of production.
Holmes will continue reporting to Jerry Petry, executive vice president of NBC Enterprises, and he’ll oversee production on special events and projects for NBC through his production entity, Holmes Communications Group Ltd.
Among his responsibilities are the network’s upfront primetime sales presentations, marketing and affiliate conventions, the NATPE affiliate meeting and the biannual NBC press tours.
Holmes will also work with the network’s advertising & promotion division in coordinating the production of on-air promotion shoots for NBC’s fall campaigns.
Holmes, who began his career as an NBC page in 1979, became a producer for on-air promotion before leaving the network in 1983 to join the original launch team at the Disney Channel. He rejoined NBC in early 1995.
