The industry’s primary below-the-line union has signed a national agreement with HBO NYC Prods., covering the production of TV dramas.

The three-year pact signed with the Intl. Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees covers all TV programs produced in the United States by HBO NYC. It applies to TV dramas that are one hour or longer and intended to have their first showing on HBO.

HBO Pictures and the IA signed a similar agreement in February 1996. The pact gives certain breaks to those productions in an effort to bring their crews into the IA fold.
