‘Good Day’ means good week for KTTV

The KTTV morning newsmagazine “Good Day L.A.” beat KTLA’s perennial market leader “The KTLA Morning News” in the household ratings for the first time for the week ended Friday, tallying a 2.9 rating/11 share to “Morning News’ ” 2.8/11.

“Good Day L.A.” launched in June 1993 and slowly has chipped away at what once was a vast advantage for “The KTLA Morning News,” gaining momentum but failing to come out on top for a given five-day period until last week.

KTTV also announced it has hired Jennifer Bjorkland as an air-traffic and news reporter for “Fox 11 Morning News” and “Good Day L.A.”
