Frio drops anchor at KCOP in L.A.

Alan Frio, a former co-anchor on “Hard Copy,” is set to replace Bob Jimenez as co-anchor opposite Tawny Little on KCOP-TV’s 10 p.m. news. He starts work at the station June 16.

Most recently, Frio worked at KXTV Sacramento, where he has anchored since 1992. He was with “Hard Copy” from 1989 to 1991. KCOP prexy and G.M. Rick Feldman described Jimenez’s decision to leave KCOP after two years at the station as mutual.
